This delightful little Victorian bone needle case was produced in France and is modeled as an umbrella; it dates to the 19th century, circa 1850. The needlecase is finely modeled; we love the attention to detail given to the points of the canopy. The needle case features a ball handle which unscrews to access the needles.
Measuring: Width 4.25 inch (10.5 cm) by height 3/8 inch (1 cm).
Tiny surface graze to one of the points, minor surface wear to the handle.
This is a wonderful little item that is perfect for anyone who has an interest in sewing and needlework.
