This delightful miniature toy porcelain jug was produced by Coalport porcelain during the early 19th century, circa 1820. This tiny jug features extensive gilt decoration on a rich cobalt blue ground, to the centre is a detailed hand painted floral spay with the most wonderful pink rose as the centrepiece of the design.
Measuring: Width 1.75 inch (4.5 cm) by height 2 1/8 inch (5.5 cm). Depth 2 inch (5 cm).
Condition: Really hard to see but there is some old professional restoration to the rim. The gilding to the rim and top of handle has been restored a long time ago, there is a VERY, very faint hairline to the rim approximately 2/8 inch. These are excruciatingly difficult to notice.
This is a fine piece of English porcelain, one of a harlequin pair, each sold separately. This piece also displays beautifully with the antique miniature Coalport bowl seen in the image, item TA11820A
