This delightful 1917 period watercolor landscape painting depicts an earlier 19th century English village street. The painting was painted using a gorgeous color palette and has some wonderful details such as the horse and carts travelling along the street, the mixture of Georgian town houses and the large Cotswold church tower in the background. The painting is housed behind glass in a well suited modern stained black wood frame with a gilt inner slip. If you adore all things English then this will look splendid in your home.
Measuring: Frame width 12.25 inch (31 cm) by height 8.75 inch (22 cm). Frame depth 1.25 inch (3 cm). Aperture width 9.75 inch (25 cm) by height 6 1/8 inch (15 cm).
Condition: The painting is in good condition, a very minor graze to the paper in the top left corner. The modern frame suits the painting. However, it is a simply made frame with a matt black stain to the wood and what appears to be the visible tip of a nail to the very top edge of the frame.
