This decorative little piece of vernacular furniture is just as functional today as it was when first created two hundred years ago. This Georgian period, country made low stool was produced in England in the early 19th century, circa 1820. The thick slab top constructed from Elm with three of the baluster turned legs constructed from the same width of Elm, the fourth leg rather charmingly turned from a slightly thicker branch of Elm. The stool has the perfect country house or farm house look; it has a super color and wonderful natural patina from the many hands that have touched it over the past two centuries. This item will display excellently in any home; the perfect seat for a special antique doll or teddy.
Measuring: Width 7.75 inch (20 cm) by height 6.25 inch (16 cm). Depth 5.75 inch (14.5 cm).
Condition: There is an old historic small chip to the inside of one of the legs, found at the very top. Approx four old treated insect holes found to one leg.
