We are delighted to present this finely turned early 19th century wooden bowl. This wonderfully tactile platter would have been produced for the table during the first quarter of the 19th century, circa 1820. This large bowl is nicely proportioned and has a wonderful look and feel to it: the concentric inner circles indicating its Irish origin. With its pleasing coloring and natural patina this object of treen will display excellently in any home, being just as functional today as it was two hundred years ago.
Measuring: Diameter 11 3/8 inch (29 cm). Height 2.25 inch (6 cm).
The bowl is in good condition, free from repair or restoration. It has minimal bumps and historic abrasions to the surface which is to be expected with its vast age. It is a fine piece. Please note the items shown in the final two images are shown for display purposes only.
