This oh so pretty and vibrant floral watercolor and gouache dates to the late 19th Century. The Victorian artist has captured the finer details of the assorted Azalia/ Rhododendron excellently. The watercolor is housed under old glass in an attractive dark oak frame with a gilt slip.
Measuring: Frame 13 2/8” (33.5 cm) by 11 2/8” (28.5 cm). Aperture 9” (23 cm) by 7” (18 cm).
Condition: This original unsigned watercolor is offered in good condition with a small, hard to see rip to the bottom left corner of the paper. There is a small very minor thin 0.5” scratch to the underside of the glass at 5 o clock.
This is a quality and detailed watercolor that will display excellently in any home, just perfect for your late Spring or Summer gallery wall.
