This delightful hand painted porcelain rouge pot was produced in the early 19th century, circa 1830. The exterior features the most wonderful hand painted floral sprays. The original use was to adorn a lady's dressing table, each pot would contain a cosmetic such as rouge for the cheeks and lips, wax for the eyebrows or cream for the complexion. This is a quality little item that will display excellently alongside any collection of early 19th century English pottery and porcelain. These dinky treasures make unique gifts.....
Measuring: Diameter 2 1/8 inch (5.5 cm) by height 1.5 inch (4 cm).
Condition: A few very minor shallow 1/8 inch chip to the interior rim of the lid.
