This delightful miniature hand painted Derby porcelain rouge pot was produced in Regency England, circa 1820. This Derby porcelain - Robert Bloor period rouge pot features the most wonderful hand painted floral sprays. The original use was to adorn a lady's dressing table, each pot would contain a cosmetic such as rouge for the cheeks and lips, wax for the eyebrows or cream for the complexion. This is a rare Derby example that will make a splendid addition to your Regency Jane Austen inspired home or indeed, a unique gift or a good lidded box for your doll........
Measuring: Diameter 1 3/8 inch (3.5 cm). Height 7/8 inch (2.5 cm).
Condition: Small old discolored hairline to the outer rim. Minor discoloration to the interior from the rouge contents.
