Antique Early 19th Century Coalport Porcelain Cup And Saucer Pattern 2/26 Circa 1825
This wonderful richly decorated cup and saucer was produced by Coalport in England in the early 19th century, circa 1825. The fluted cup features ornate gilding, highly detailed hand painted floral sprays and an Old English shape handle. The matching saucer features pattern number 2/26 in gilt on the base.
Measuring: Cup height 2 7/8” (7.5 cm). Width at widest point 3.75” (9.5 cm). Saucer diameter 5 7/8” (15 cm).
There are four thin hairlines to the cup; the handle has at one point broken away from the cup but been neatly reattached. There is some very minor wear to one of the gilded scalloped edges of the saucer. Both pieces are bright and produced to a very high quality, they will display excellently.
