This decorative porcelain cup and saucer was produced by Hilditch and Son at Lane end, Staffordshire, England. Hilditch and son wares were only produced between 1822 – 1830. They produced fine quality pottery and porcelain, mainly in underglaze blue designs. As we all know, blue and white transferware is absolutely timeless. Make this charming pair yours today......
The underglaze blue transfer printed pattern features a floral design with a star border and small garden bird to the centre. Both pieces are marked to the base with a scarce blue H & S mark.
Measuring: Cup diameter with handle 4.75” (12 cm). Cup diameter without handle 3.75” (9.5 cm). Cup height 2.5” (6.5 cm). Saucer diameter 5.5” (14 cm).
