19th century French Mother of Pearl Glass Double Open Salt Trinket C 1880
Direct from France is this pretty salt dish that would equally work as a delightful thimble holder!! Dating to the 1880's we see an upturned mother of pearl base with a gilt metal double ring handle that centrally secures the double glass salt cellars with their lovely old air bubbles. The glass holders are very pretty with their lozenge design outer and impressed floral design to their base.
Size: 2.5" tall by 3.25" wide by 1.5" deep.
Condition is very good with minor wear commensurate with age. The gilt metal handle has dulled with age/ usage.
An oh so pretty trinket holder for your boudoir display.
