This is a fine example of a piece of English porcelain. This decorative tea cup was produced by Minton in England during the mid-19th century, circa 1860. The cup features hand painted floral sprays surrounded by a pink ribbon with extensive gilt decoration, all in the Sevres style. The cup is clearly marked to the base with a green 3 point and arrow mark, the mark was used on fine pieces of porcelain produced by Minton between 1850 – 1870.
Measuring: Width including handle 3.75 inch (9.5 cm) by height 2 5/8 inch (6.5 cm).
Condition: Minor crazing to the glaze on handle with two lines to glaze (not hairlines). Some areas of gilt touch around the gilt rim.
This is a beautiful, very pretty piece of porcelain produced by one of Britain’s best quality porcelain factories. It will display excellently, a unique gift filled with candy, pot pouri or a scented candle.
