This elegant vitrine was produced in France and dates to the Napoleon III period, circa 1870. The case opens via a hinged lid and is complete with its four original feet and its original carrying handle. All five thick glass panels are heavily beveled adding to the sheer opulence of this piece. Open the door to reveal the padded silk buttoned base. This is a grand French decorative antique that looks amazing displayed on its own or with other French vitrines. This is the perfect piece for displaying your portrait miniatures or a fine piece of jewelry.

Condition: All original with the occasional very teeny nibble to the glass, some light shredding to the ancient silk interior as is common with such 19th century pieces.
