This decorative pair of money boxes were produced in France during the 19th century, circa 1890s. The money boxes are carved as an apple and a pair, perfect for any folk art or farm house inspired interior. With their quirky, colorful finish they make for a delicious pair.
Measuring: Apple diameter 3 inch (7.5 cm) by height 3 3/8 inch (8.5 cm). Pair diameter 3 inch (7.5 cm) by height 4 3/8 inch (11 cm).
Condition: Good dry patina with some age related surface flaking to the paint (see the top of the apple). The base of the pear is long since missing, we have not tried to open the apple's metal base as we do not have a key. The stalks are possible replacements.
