This gorgeous buckle is made from 10 Karat gold and dates to 1865, pretty early in the Victorian era. Although unmarked, I was able to race its steps back to R.B. Gray & Co. of San Francisco Ca. It is an absolutely gorgeous belt buckle that has been intricately engraved and chased with a dainty floral pattern and Victorian ladies on horseback. It is a good size at 2 1/2 inches long and just over 1 1/2 inches wide. The buckle has been tested as 10k and weighs in at 15 grams! I have had this in my possession for many years and wear it as a pendant. The compliments pour in! It is in excellent shiny condition and sure to please!
