This is an amazing serving spoon created in the Dutch Netherlands in 1905. The spoon is made of .833 standard silver. It has a fantastic embossed design on the bowl of several people in a tavern. The handle shows three winged cherubs and it is topped with a moving windmill. The spoon is quite large at 8 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide at the bowl. It weighs a hefty 65 grams! There are several hallmarks on this. It was a treasure hunt in itself to find them! There is a lion with the number 2 for the silver standard mark of .833, an O for the date 1905, makers mark of DH, the head of Minerva for a duty mark and a sword on the windmill. The spoon is in fantastic condition!
