This is a quite rare and very desirable sterling gravy ladle made by Unger Brothers in the 1890 figural pattern called Douvaine. The handle of the ladle is very Art Nouveau with the figure of Neptune's face and a dolphin's face at the tip. The ladle measures 6 1/4 inches long with a light gold washing in the bowl. It weighs 56 grams and is signed on the back. The ladle is in excellent condition with an exception of a deep scratch on the back of the bowl where someone shamefully decided to test it. It is a very beautiful piece!
