This is a sensational majolica teapot from the late 1800's. It is called blackberry & basketweave and is in a beautifully rich blue cobalt coloring. The teapot measures 6 1/2 inches high and 7 1/2 inches spout to handle. The only damage is a surface glaze chip on the lid which either still has the original paint but no glaze or someone has skillfully disguised it. There is also light crazing throughout the inside. I am unsure of the maker. There is a painted number 3 on the base along with a coupe of scratched, unknown markings. It is a fantastic piece and a great addition to your collection!
