Circa 1930's, Clelia was a French company, contemporary of Raynal, Lenci etc. She stands 17" including the tam which has a red pom pom and is stamped Normandy. . She is completely original and never undressed. Her costume consists of WOOL sailor shirt and GABARDINE skirt, leather shoes and rayon socks. There is also a lace trimmed slip and panty, but I cannot tell if is 1/2 or a onesie. Her shoes are both marked "CLELIA" as well as her original necklace. Her features are beautifully hand painted and her face is smooth like papier mache- or maybe comp. The original set wig is mohair. Her body is cloth with celluloid hands. An overall great unusual cloth doll.
Her body does have some spots and soil- not bad though. Her shoes are stained in several places. Her WOOL costume has several moth holes but are not very noticeable, and there is some fade to the ribbon trims.
