This is a beautiful oval shaped brooch and round earring set by Hollycraft, from the 1950's, still in the box it has lived in for half a century. The all prong set pastel rhinestones still glimmer nicely, the antiqued silver tone metal floral design is classic Hollycraft, although usually found in gold tone. The brooch has a well crafted rope design around the center stone and edging the last row of stones, a very elegant touch. The tiny flowers and leaves nestled among the shimmering rhinestones are also part of the Hollycraft signature style and so pretty. The back of the brooch is the expected gold tone, and the backs of the stones are foiled with no visible loss. There is minimal age-appropriate patina, but still makes a fabulous impression. Has the pastel stones Hollycraft is known for, their signature round and oval faceted stones in pastel aqua, pink, sky blue, violet, and green. My pictures are picking up the reflections of the blues, but head on they are a very pale violet. The earrings are 7/8 of an inch by 3/4 of an inch, and the brooch is a nice size at 1 and 3/8 inches by 1 and 5/8 inches. The screw backs on the earrings are marked Hollycraft on the top of the knobs, the brooch is not marked. The brooch has a secure rolling clasp pin. There is minor age appropriate patina/wear as to be expected. The pieces are very sturdy and thick as expected from Hollycraft. This fabulous set belonged to a friend's great grand. I can't believe how sparkly they still are after 60 or so years, so graceful and lovely.
