This is a beautiful floral brooch and round earrings by Hollycraft, from the 1950's. The prong set pastel rhinestones still glimmer like new, the antiqued metal color is classic Hollycraft. There is some age/wear to the metal on the left earring (ah, the cosmetics!!), but still makes a fabulous impression. Has the small violet berry blossom clusters Hollycraft is known for, as well as their signature round and oval faceted stones in bright pastel aqua, pink, sky blue, violet, lime green, and citrine yellow. The earrings are 3/4 of an inch across, and the brooch is 1 inch across and 1 and 1/2 inches tall. The screw backs on the earrings are marked Hollycraft on the top of the knobs, I can't find a mark on the brooch but this set has been together all these years; these belonged to a friend's great grand. I can't believe how sparkly they still are after 60 or so years, so graceful and lovely.
Located in New York City, Hollycraft jewelry was manufactured by the Hollywood Jewelry Mfg Company. The company was founded in 1938 by Joseph Chorbajian and Jack Hazard. The Hollycraft mark first appeared in 1948, and the company stopped operation in 1971.
