This is a rare, seldom seen Iskin watch pin, with topaz stones and two toned yellow and rose gold filled over sterling silver, in a floral shape with a Deco flare. Harry Iskin is known for his elegant 1930's & 1940's Deco and Retro Modern designs, in business from 1930 to 1953 in Philadelphia and later New York. His very collectible pieces often have 2 colors of gold filled metal, rose and yellow gold, with colored stones, multi-faceted and prong set such as this one. Also called a chatelaine, this pin is marked "Iskin, 1/20 12 KT G", his earlier mark, not the later H over the I signature. It measures 1 and ½ inches across, and the pin and clasp are still tight and fully functional. There is a hook intended for a watch, but it is just fine worn alone, or used with a pendant to dangle, or as a pendant itself on a chain. Iskin jewelry is a rare treat for collectors. This pretty pin takes you back to the very stylish pre WWII era. In excellent vintage condition, with expected, age appropriate patina; would polish up beautifully if desired.
