Vintage Owl With Red Rhinestone Eyes Brooch Pin~Signed BSK
This is a luxuriously finished, textured BSK ( B. Steinberg-Kaslo & Co.) gold tone owl figural brooch / pin with brilliant ruby red faceted rhinestone eyes. The fine feather detailing is definitely designer quality, and the smooth brow and beak highlight the eyes beautifully. Notice how nicely rounded and dimensional he is, and the details of his little claws wrapped around the branch he is perched upon. There is one tiny spot of wear at the very tip of his nose, but it is only noticeable when magnified. This marvel measures 2 and 1/8 inches tall and ¾ of an inch wide. This lovely brooch is marked BSK with the copyright symbol on the nicely textured back, and the pin and clasp work as they should. BSK was in business from 1948 until 1983. In overall very good vintage condition, this feathered fellow is very charming and bright.
