This is a fabulous, flashy feather brooch pin made by Trifari in the 1960's. Luxuriously long for impact at 3 inches long and 1/2 of an inch wide. It still looks new due to the excellent, shimmering, textured Trifanium plating. Trifanium was a special alloyed casting metal Trifari used to make their cast pieces, which were then polished and plated. This gorgeous, timeless piece is featured on page 105 of Ronna Lee Aikins book, 20th Century Costume Jewelry, 2005 ed. It is signed Trifari with the Crown over the T, and has the copyright symbol. As you can see in the picture of the book, this item was valued very highly before the economy took its present turn. A marvelous value for a beautiful piece!
