Awesome 1950's city scene painted in oil with beautiful bold colors.
This painting is large and vibrant and will become the centerpiece of any room.

I've seen other paintings by the same artist signed "E.R. Ezell"
The artist was active in the 1950's in Lafayette, LA.
This is a street scene with a street car. We assume it is New Orleans because the artist was from Louisiana. The people appear to be in formal attire. Perhaps for a night at the Jazz Clubs!
The automobiles appear from the 1940's - 1950's era and the men seem to have long trench coats which were popular at that time.
The artist's technique was to use very thick coats of paint giving this oil painting a lot of depth. The colors are unbelievably rich.
It is beautifully done and the photos do it no justice. The colors are amazing, super vibrant. We took photos under different lighting and with and without flash. The flash dulled the colors a bit.
The painting is 24 1/2" by 20 1/2" framed.
The frame is beautiful wood which has been carved in a geometric pattern. The frame is in very good to excellent condition.
The painting has a bit of craquelure (cracks in the heavy oil paint) which has been amplified in the photos. It does not show as clearly in real life.
This is a great opportunity for some great 1950's folk art so don't miss out!
