Purchased in the mid to late 1950's in China, this set was a piece of a large estate collection of fine Chinese antiques.
All the vases are in perfect / unused condition.
Superbly executed cloisonné vases. There are 12 in the presentation case with padded interior. 11 of the 12 cases have carved rosewood bases. The 12th base is missing.
Each of these vases is solid copper with beautiful enamel cloisonné and surprisingly heavy at 4.6 ounces. Each vase is 3 1/16" tall and 2 1/16" diameter.
Each has a sticker on the bottom "MADE IN CHINA". The outer box has a label that says "Peoples Republic of China"
EACH vase has a beautiful floral design or small tree with flowers. EACH vase is different in it's design.
This collection is outstanding as vases or to serve tea or libations.
They are packaged nicely in the original box as shown. The box is covered in fabric and has bone clasps as shown. Each vase fits into a padded, silken spot inside.
This is a very rare set of this high quality.
