Goerz were the first to use prism lens in opera glasses. The prism lens configuration necessitated the unusual shape. They are gold plated with snake skin barrels. The lenses are the best of any opera glasses made then or since. Zeiss bought over the Goerz Company in the 1920 so that they could acquire the lens technology.
They measure 2 1/4 inches high by 4 inches wide. Lens magnification x 3.
They are in perfect working order. The lenses are perfect. The zoom mechanism is in excellent working order. They are very light weighing less than 5 ounces. This is important if you are viewing a show through the opera glasses for long periods.
