A fabulous Napoleon III period Palais Royal dressing table accessory. The St Louis etched glass bowl is wide and shallow so that you can easily find your precious pieces of jewellery.
It is 14 inches high by 10 inches wide and 7 inches from front to rear.
The bowl diameter is 5 inches.
The St Louis glass bowl is beautifully etched with six panels of flowers within a curved etched ribbon border. The centre of the bowl has a chrysanthemum blossom. There are no chips or cracks on the glass.
Two acanthus leaf candlesticks are designed to hold tapered candles. There are four rings through which ribbons were looped to add color to this wonderful dressing table accessory.
The mirror is 5 1/2 inches by 4 inches. It is bevel edged and almost flawless with just a couple of pin head oxidation marks. The rear of the mirror is lined with green leather which has some finger marks from normal usage of the last 160 years.
The swivel mirror can be adjusted and set at the required angle by adjusting the axle screws by hand.
