The two volumes contain descriptions, history and illustrations of the Cistercian Abbeys of Tintern, Fountains, Melrose, Kirkstali, Netley, Furness and Rievaulx, The Augustinian Priory of Bolton, the Premonstratensian Abbey of Dyburg, The Benedictine Abbey of Whitby and The Augustinian Abbey of Jedburgh.
Condition. The binds are tight and solid. Some slight fraying at corners and tops and tails of spines. Occasional age spotting in earlier pages in both volumes. All the color plates are in very good condition.
