Vintage Crown Trifari Morning Glory Fur Clip Brooch Pin by Alfred Philippe
This Trifari pin/fur clip is lovely. There's just something about the lovely, flowing design of the morning glories. It has curlicues of vine clinging to a golden trellis with rhinestone dew drops. It was created by the most famous of Trifari's designers, master jeweler Alfred Philippe, the design patent for which was filed April 29, 1939. Design patent #114489, a copy of which is the last picture. It is a base metal casting and is gold plated in faux gold. The leaves are enameled in a creamy white, with golden veins. The morning glories are depicted in pale blue/turquoise enameling. The stamen, which rise up from the centers of the flowers, are gold plated set with tiny rhinestones. Signed on the reverse "Trifari", with the crown logo above the "T”. The clip retains a perfect "snap" for a good hold. The condition is very good with only a few small spots of enamel wear.
