Modernist Vintage 18Kt Yellow Gold Emerald and Diamond Pendant
Per the insurance appraisal for $8100.00 dated 5/24/2011, I am selling an 18Kt yellow gold emerald and diamond pendant. There are 3 small round diamonds with an approximate total weight of 0.16 carats. The emerald is a natural geode measuring approximately 30 mm x 22 mm x 17.23 mm. It is a Chatham emerald approximately 30 carats. Its color is a strong green of medium to dark tone. They are set in a contemporary free-form geometric design. The total weight is 25.6 dwt or 39.9 grams. It is really a piece to behold!
The pendant is 35.3 mm wide x 32.6 mm long x 25.6 mm (1.50" x 1.27" x 1.13")
The pendant is vintage, designed by my mother in 1975 as a ring and made by Spritzer and Fuhrman in New York City. It was given to me and I found it too heavy to wear as a ring. I simply had it made as a pendant and wore it only occasionally as my lifestyle didn't lead to dressing that way. The piece is too large for my daughters' taste who like everything dainty, so I am putting it up for sale. At this point I am cleaning out my jewel box of unworn jewelry.
The chain is only for display purposes and does not come with the pendant.
I have scanned the appraisal for the listing and it will come with the necklace.
