Vintage Sterling Bangle with Gold Chevron Wash -7.25"
Looking for a really pretty bangle/bracelet that isn't like all the others out there? How about this one: used but not abused and looking like it was hardly worn! It’s a vintage bangle with contemporary appeal, this sterling silver bangle bracelet with a gold chevron trim.
Beautifully made, the interior of this 0.46" wide bangle has a super smooth finish. The locking clasp has a strip of silver that slides in for about 0.25”. The strip if marked “W.H.L. The bangle opens wide to 2.5" for easy insertion and locks securely to finished inner measurements of 7.25” to comfortably fit most wrists.
WHL is possibly William Henry Lamport. He has been listed in street directories from 1823-38 as a silversmith and jeweler of 29 Whimple St, Plymouth. He was declared bankrupt in 1841. I don’t know it this piece was made by him, but this is the best information I can find.
There's a good weight to this bangle: 14.6 grams of 925 (stamped inside). It's eye-catching and different.
