For sale is this TRULY UNIQUE and beautiful piece of Victorian Art. This is from the mid 1800s, probably around the 1870s based on the clothing style of the beautiful woman. This is a good example of Berlin wool work which was very popular as a woman's art form during this time. This is a particularly charming subject, and the piece is expertly worked in full and half cross stitch with a young lady in Turkish style garb standing beside a flower laden table and feeding a colorful parrot. It is framed and glazed. This is a well maintained image with bright colors. The only condition issues are a few small darkened areas on the woman's sleeve. The needlepoint measures 20" x 30", and is professionally framed, and measures 26" x 36" framed.
