It is marked with the Limoges D&C France mark 3 which dates it from 1891. This is the most ornate and desirable of the Large Limoges Jardiniere molds.
In 1860 Remy Délinières and P. Guéry opened the La Taupinière porcelain factory on Rue Albert Thomas in Limoges. In 1879 R. Délinières became director, and in 1881 they first began decorating some of their porcelains. The factory was sold to Leonard Bernardaud in 1900 and became Bernardaud & Cie.
Measuring 16 1/2” from handle to handle, 10 3/4” tall with a opening at the top of 9" A truly magnificent piece of Limoges France porcelain to add to your Collection.
The Jardiniere is in excellent condition., with no chips, cracks, or repairs.. The gold has very little if any wear.. It does have a few paint flecks in the roses and a slight surface firing flaw to the glaze that was done at the time of mold firing , on which the talented artist painted as part of there design a rose stem,a perfect addition it is not noticeable, mentioned for accuracy purposes.
