Dr. Mahlon William Locke drew crowds of thousands throughout the 1930s seeking his foot care, achieved with a few turns of the ankle but more with a "laying on of hands."
Many people claimed he cured all sorts of a foot ailments, some crippling. He always charged the sum of $1, and almost always healed in front of enormous crowds, whether in his native Williamsburg, Ontario, Canada, or on a circuit including the United States. He was a phenomenon of the Depression.
Here we have five excellent unsent postcards in very good condition, measuring 5.5" by 3.5".
One postcard is entitled "DR. LOCKE IN THE CIRCLE AND HIS FAMOUS TREATMENT," showing the doctor with a patient's foot in his lap and those awaiting treatment in his circle of corrals.
