Found in the bottom of a dresser drawer in a small brown envelope. My grandmother's handwriting said simply `crystal beads.' Inside were several loose crystals, some of them still on a broken tarnished silver chain. That was nearly 40 years ago. Recently refurbished with a new chain and a new gold-filled clasp, they are now as good as new. And just as brilliant when she wore them many years ago.
Matching screw-back earrings are classic drop style with brass fitting. The larger single faceted crystal is 1/2-inch with a smaller matching crystal at the top and overall measures 1-inch from top to bottom. Certified goldsmith who fixed the necklace thought it might even be from the 1920's. Measures 17-inches and is not adjustable. Tiny faceted rondelles between each bead. Authentic and in excellent condition. Weighs 51 grams. No signature.
