Beautifully designed gold-filled necklace with scrolls and curlicues holding five imitation pearls together topped with a tiny bit of filigree. An ornate lavalier believed from the 1940's. A beautiful piece with a design that tells its age. Marked as 1/20 10K and signed by AMCO. A certified goldsmith added that it is a very old fine necklace that may be earlier than 1940's. Even with a loupe, I had missed the tiny markings that can be found on the back of the crests adjacent to the central filigree. Just gorgeous and all original. Don’t miss the tiny silvered leaves just above the lowest pearl. A vintage statement piece for any collection. Measures 16-1/2 inch with a spring clasp. A. Micallef & Co. Inc. was founded in 1919 in Providence, RI producing a wide variety of collectible AMCO costume jewelry until the late 1970's.
