Polly Bergen's career spanned more than five decades of music, television, films including her success as an entrepreneur as well. This album released in 1957 followed her Emmy award portrayal of singer Helen Morgan on an episode in the 1950's of the popular television series Playhouse 90. She was already a professional singer in her teens and recorded her first album in 1951.
This album includes: `Make the Man Love Me,' `My Melancholy Baby,' `Smoke Gets in your Eyes,' `You'll never Know,' a total of 12 songs altogether. Born in 1930, she will be 85 this year. Released by Columbia Records as No. CL-1031 with their original 6-eye label (see photos). This LP has been cleaned, tested, and approved for your listening pleasure. Nearly 60 years old and this record still sounds great. What a deep sultry voice! Also includes my original typed copy of the lyrics and a new sleeve. All records will be shipped in approved record mailers.
