While there are admittedly lots of the old large wood boxes with the familiar La Palina Spanish senorita, there are not as many of the small cardboard boxes to be found. Measuring just 5 x 3-1/2 inches it may have held ten small cigars. Signed on the back as having been Made in Philadelphia by the Congress Cigar Co. Inside is an artistic drawing of a very pretty senorita with black curls and a lace shawl, registered trademark of the Congress Cigar Co. On the back: Factory No. 513. 1st Dist. State of PA. (and) "The cigars herein contained were manufactured to retail at more than eight cents each and not more than fifteen cents each and tax so prepaid." In fair condition on the outside. Edge-wear evident. Nice gift for the cigar box collector.
