Traced from an advertisement for Cannon towels on the inside front cover of the July 1962 issue of Good Housekeeping. In those quiet years before children arrived, I found time for crafts. Lots of time for this one that is made with hundreds (or thousands?) of tiny French knots to represent the colorful towels displayed in the full page ad. Hidden on the left side in a small twig I have inserted the date 1963. Tucked away for many years with the original magazine cover, it wasn't until the mid-1980's that I decided to have it professionally framed. Gray-blue wood frame complements the blue mat with an inside gold-edge. Measures 14-1/2 x 14-1/2 and hangs with a solid wire. Good Housekeeping ad is included. Please note the close-up photos were taken through glass.
