Ken's navy blue jacket is untagged, but with the distinctive four silver bands on the sleeves is almost certainly part of Ken's #0779 American Airlines pilot uniform released in 1964 - 1965. It was among other doll clothes found in a doll trunk in an old farmhouse attic. The jacket is unlined. Three tiny navy blue buttons on the front with a few torn threads on the inside which may indicate what remains of a snap closure. Two fake pockets on the front and a finished split seam on the back. Loose threads here and there have been trimmed away and a side seam repaired, but it has not been laundered. Measuring down the back from the collar seam to the hem is 5-inches. Photographer apologizes for using Barbie as a model. Unfortunately there were no boy dolls available at the time and except for the sleeves a bit long and the shoulders too wide, she looks pretty good in Ken’s jacket. Pants are not included with the jacket. They were borrowed from another collection to preserve Barbie's decorum.
