Apparently age and polishing has removed most of the four layers of silver plate from this piece. Forbes Silver Co. was another small manufacturer in Meriden, CT 1862 until 1935. Passed through our family for many years, it is most likely dated in the 1930's. Ornately decorated on each of the eight side panels and signed by Forbes with their logo on the bottom stating it is quadruple plate (see photo). Pattern is marked as 232. Worn spot on one shoulder and around the lip edge. Measures 5-inches tall and 5-inches from the edge of the lip to the back of the handle.
