Two young ladies with their curls and waved hair and gorgeous eyes deliver a loving poem from the mid-1930's. Unsigned, but drawn by my father as a gift for my mother shortly before or after they were married in 1936. Titled “Wonderful You.” I don’t recall that he wrote poetry and can only assume its source and author are unknown. A brief online search found several titles, but not with these words.
Authenticity of drawing verified by his brother who recognized this and several other similar sketches. A brief online search found several titles, but not with these words. Unframed it measures 8 x 10 inches with just a couple of old rusty tack holes at the top. It would be stunning on display if finished in a black frame with a wide ivory mat.
