The young face of David McCallum may be familiar to some of you. But with a current photo of today you would recognize Dr. ("Ducky") Mallard from the popular NCIS television series. Born in Scotland in 1933 he is both an actor and a musician. You may also remember him from "The Man from U.N.C.L.E."
This album was released in 1966 and was the first of four. The last released in 1968. McCallum is also widely known as a trained musician. Music presented here is all instrumental Rhythm and Blues with a bit of Soul and Jazz written and arranged by McCallum for a combination of French horn, oboe, with guitar, strings and drums. Music includes his interpretation of popular songs of the 1960's including Yesterday, Downtown, The `In' Crowd and others. The album truly reflects that music is a part of him that perhaps you didn't know.
