Beaded safety pin creations became all the rage of craftsmanship in the late 1950's and continues to find an audience even today. This pretty little basket was once a miniature Easter basket evidenced by bits of green grass and a couple of old wrapped candies found inside. A member of my family recalled that "Aunt Gladys made those. I can barely remember her, but there for a while everybody was getting those little things from her on every occasion for gift giving." A good wash with hot water and soap as well as a bit of brass polish (using a toothbrush) and this one burst back to life.
Clear plastic beads with just a single row around the center of red hearts. There's a plastic net in the bottom for holding whatever you want to put in it. Measures 5-1/2 inches to the top of the handle. Across the top is 3-3/4 and the bottom ring is 2-1/2. Perfect for Valentine's, Christmas, or most any occasion.
