Purchased in Oklahoma during the early 1950's, this fully equipped wagon spent years on the top of a dresser and more recently, it's own spot on a closet shelf. Still works and can be a welcome night light at the top of the stairs or a child's bedroom. Just push the oxen shaft down and the light comes on. Complete with its own little pick axe and shovel mounted on the side and a tiny bucket swinging underneath. It has 3-1/2 inch rolling wheels and even brakes! Wheels in the front are 3-inches. All in very good condition except the cloth cover which is still complete, but beginning to show its age. Very popular during the 1950's when television and movies were featuring cowboys galloping around in the old west.
I debated a couple of years ago whether or not to attempt to replace the cover. Sides are stapled to the wagon and could be easily removed, cloth flattened and measured. A new piece of material hemmed and a short string in a narrow hem to pull the ends closed, new staples...But that project ended on the bottom of the to-do pile. Measures 15-inches long and 7-1/2 tall.
