A group of teenagers tangle with pirates over buried treasure in this March 1967 issue of Scooter's adventures. Published by DC comics and carries "Approved by the Comics Code Authority" in the top right hand corner. Designed for tweens and teens. Typical artistry of the Silver Age of comic books. First issue was June 1966 and the last in September 1971. This is No. 5 of 36 issues. Sixth photo is an inside cover ad for a 7-foot long Polaris nuclear submarine for just $6.98 which includes rockets and torpedoes. And for just $4.99 you could order an electronic computer brain! Next to last photo is the back of the comic.
Nice clean copy with no spine issues. Upper right corner slightly curled. Primary fault is the two inside center fold pages are loose from the staples. In fact, the lower staple is missing. Page color is off-white, not as dark as the scanner makes them appear. With a current description of comic book ratings, I have attempted to examine my collection thoroughly and give it a fair rating assessment. Prominent faults are mentioned. Don't hesitate to contact me for more details or specific questions. Rated: 3 (good/very good). Insurance is optional on this item and may be declined during checkout.
