"An earth man rescues a beautiful princess..." Story adapted from "A Princess of Mars" by Edgar Rice Burroughs (of Tarzan fame) and copyrighted in 1939. Other John Carter comics with similar titles were published in the 1940's and another series in the 1970's. This group of three is known as the 1964 series. Captain Carter comics have been re-issued in more recent years. Fourth and fifth photos are the inside front and inside back of the cover.
Cover is firmly attached although the spine is rolled with a tear at the top. Some staining on the cover but inside pages are fine. Page color is off-white and not as dark as the scanner makes them appear. Normal creases and wear on the cover edges. Back cover was intended as a pin-up poster. With a current description of comic book ratings, I have attempted to examine my collection thoroughly and give it a fair rating assessment. Prominent faults are mentioned.
