Abandoned for more than 50 years, these two matching panels are waiting for an embroidery fan to finish. Threaded needle is still where I left it. If you wonder why it might have been ignored all these years, I can tell you. I was dating a handsome Englishman at the time and married him in 1962. (Yes, we are approaching our 53th wedding anniversary!) "Someday" just never came and they have been tucked away, folded neatly in an old cookie tin with all of my embroidery equipment.
Original iron-on transfer is included and it was probably used to make both panels, as the ink on the second untouched panel is a bit faint. The transfer itself has been colored briefly in yellow indicating the second panel would have been fashioned in that color. The single test rose cut from the transfer has not been used and is also included. Each raw cut linen panel measures approximately 20-1/2 x 20-1/2. Could be cut and framed to suit. Both have been folded with the back on the outside and there is some minor age discoloration on two folds. This can be easily washed away when the panel is completed.
