Donald Trump now owns the former Barbizon Plaza Hotel in New York City. Purchased in the late 1980s, it has been converted into a 300-plus condo complex. Overlooking Central Park between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, the hotel first opened in 1930 with 1400 rooms (with baths) and it was "electronically air conditioned." It provided apartments for artists, offering studios, galleries, an art library and three separate indoor locations for recitals, dancing and theater. But in three short years it was forced by financial struggles to close and was sold for over $4 million.
The postcards date from the early 1940's and make you wonder if this artist's rendering was done by one of its early residents. Measure 5-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches and are unused. Price is for all three.
